Irvine Barclay Theatre

Ektaa Center
In Sanskrit, ektaa means “oneness” or “unity.” In sharing a variety of Indian traditions with the Orange County community, Irvine’s Ektaa Center lives up to its name. Designed for multipurpose use, the Ektaa Center provides classes in the classical and folk dances of India as well as traditional vocal and instrumental music, yoga and meditation, arts and crafts, and language lessons. For those interested in learning more about Indian culture, the Ektaa Center also hosts lectures, seminars and panel discussions on a variety of topics, including travel and cultural tourism.

Korean American Center
The best way to learn a language is to get immersed in the culture, and the Korean American Center makes cultural exchange a top priority. Offering the largest non-collegiate adult Korean language program in the United States, the Korean American Center works to bring people together, build community and teach Korean culture to future generations. Here, students have the opportunity to learn Korean through a range of courses, from adult language courses to summer immersion programs for high school students. The Korean American Center also hosts the annual Irvine Korean Culture Festival, scheduled to take place on May 13, 2017, where guests can experience traditional Korean dance, music, food and performances.

Global Village Festival
Each year, people flock to Irvine for an international celebration of culture called the Global Village Festival. Held in September, this is a great opportunity to learn about the music, food and art of countries from around the world. Guests can attend exhilarating performances, such as hula dancing, flamenco dancing, Indian Bollywood dance, African drums and music, and Chinese folk dancing.
